Techtel Upgrades 12 studios and control rooms with the latest automation technology

Techtel provided and integrated Egatel’s DVB-T2 Transmitters, which now enable the delivery of more than 49 additional services for Digicel’s subscribers in Port Moresby, over two newly added transport streams.

In Australia’s fiercely competitive education industry, universities and other institutions must provide world-class facilities that enhance the learning experience for current students and attract school-leavers considering their options for tertiary education. Monash University set out to upgrade the facilities within their School of Media, Film and Journalism to align with the latest technology that is found throughout the broadcast industry today.

Techtel was chosen to design and build a high resolution LED video screen for the foyer of the Telstra Experience Centre. Built on a unique engineering framework, the solution provides an extraordinary visual experience for visitors of Telstra's Sydney headquarters, as well as passersby on George Street.

Home of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Hamer Hall underwent a major upgrade that included the provision of in-house live broadcast capabilities. Techtel won the government-sponsored project to design and install a turnkey production facility which enables the Arts Centre Melbourne to deliver creative content to a wider audience in Australia and abroad.

Ten years after a major natural gas resource platform was launched, Techtel was selected to replace the end-of-life entertainment system on the platform in the middle of the Timor Sea.

The Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) broadcast their national World News programme live across Eastern Australia from the SBS studios in Artarmon, Sydney. Looking to achieve more with less, SBS needed a solution that would allow them to produce their news programme with optimum reliability and effectiveness but with
less operators required in the studio.

In the southernmost state of Australia, Techtel installed a state of the art high definition broadcast facility to provide coverage of events in both houses of Tasmanian Parliament as well as various committee rooms and reception rooms.
